We were in need of a new video baby monitor and the Cubo Ai Baby monitor came just at the right time.

Over the years we have tried many different monitors but never found one we truly loved. Until we got our Cubo Ai Baby Monitor. Others either were too sensitive to white noise, made static noises, stopped working properly after a short period of time or were just plain useless.

When Cubo came to me to ask to review their video baby monitor I had to make sure I used it for long enough to give you my most honest and trusted opinion. Monitors are a big investment and something that can be hard to choose the right one with so many options, especially for a first-time mum.

I spent many nights unable to sleep, worried about my babies when they were newborns. Having a good quality, reliable monitor can help you have a little bit more peace of mind that your baby is sleeping safe and sound.

HOW DOES CUBO Ai BABY MONITOR WORK AND MY THOUGHTS

Cubo Ai is a Smart Baby monitor that connects straight to your phone. No more worrying about an extra monitor to carry around or worrying about it’s going flat.

Wherever you have your phone, you have your monitor with you.

The monitor will send you an alert straight to your phone when the baby cries, rolls over, face is covered,  is no longer detected in cot, if the room is too hot or humid or for other reasons that you may need notifying so you can check on the baby. You can also modify or remove these alerts if you don’t wish to receive them.

The Cubo Ai app always allows me to watch Remi from wherever and whenever so I can never go “out of range”. If myself or David are out for work for the day or travelling for we can see our precious babe anytime.

CUBO Ai Plus is so smart

Compared to other baby monitors Cubo Ai Plus is so smart. It doesn’t detect white noise playing as a reason to set off the baby monitor alerts. This is such an important feature for me and many parents as white noise helps our babies sleep better and for longer. Other baby monitors I’ve used have not been able to do this and would constantly be set off by the white noise.

The monitor comes with 3 stands. One to attach to cot, a floor stand, or mobile stand meaning it grows with your baby.

Cubo Ai also connects to an App on your phone and allows up to 8 people to also access it. You can give access to those who may need it – mum, dad, grandparent or carers. You can also rest assured knowing that your baby’s security is protected. It has encrypted data protection and 2 factor authentication. This means only those you allow are able to view your video/photos.

Overall, I can say that I would absolutely recommend this monitor. It may not be the cheapest on the market, but I believe it is worth the money. It gives us peace of mind, reliability and quality. Cubo Ai Plus is the best video baby monitor I have used.

Covered Face & Roll Over Detection

Safe Sleep for Babies AND Peace of Mind for Parents!

Developed with a pediatrician, Cubo Ai’s face detection technology alerts you if it recognizes that your baby’s mouth and nose may be covered. Get alerted by the app in real-time if your baby’s face is covered by items or if they’re stuck when rolling over.

This feature is an absolute game changer. I wish I had this when my girls were newborn babies. It would have given me so much peace of mind knowing if their little faces were covered I would be notified. Any new mum would agree that one of their biggest fears is baby rolling over in their sleep onto their face.

Cry Detection 

I love that all you need is your phone and you can never “go out of range” so you’ll always know when your baby needs you. When the app sends a message/alert it’s quick and easy to see if they need attending to. It is a loud distinctive noise so you know exactly what it is. It sounds like a bird chirping.

Temperature and Humidity Detection

Cubo Ai comes with a temperature and humidity sensor that can tell if your baby’s room is out of doctor’s recommended range of comfort! The monitor will send an app alert if their room is too hot, cold, or humid. This is particularly useful for us here in humid Northern NSW & Queensland. When this alert goes off we know to go and open a window or turn on the fan.

High Definition Night and Day Camera

2 Way Audio

I absolutely love this feature. No matter where you are you can speak to your baby through your phone to the monitor. We use this feature in the middle of the night if Remi stirs we can try to calm her with our voices.

Built in Night Light

The video monitor comes with a small night light that faces backwards and can be turned on/off with the app. Just flick it on before entering their room and tap to turn off right after. You never worry about stepping on a toy or fumbling with your phone light ever again!

The monitor has no other lights that flash or stay on to distract your baby or keep them awake.
