It’s one of the most common issues for women and it’s not only uncomfortable but can have an impact on your self esteem when you feel so full and bloated constantly.
As a long term suffered of digestion issues bloating has always been an issue for me.
5 WAYS THAT HELP ME WITH BLOATING
1. Warm lemon water in the morning & herbal tea at night:
This is something I have been doing for years. I always make sure a warm glass of lemon water is what goes in to my stomach first thing in the morning. It helps to keep my Bloating at bay and keeps me “regular.”
At night before bed I like to have a herbal tea to help relax my tummy. There is a blend from “T2” called “tummy tea” which I really like or a lemongrass and ginger is another fave.
2. Exercise:
Moving your body will keep every thing moving in your stomach so try to exercise for at least 20 minutes per day.
3. Avoid Salty Foods:
Salt can lead to water retention which can cause Bloating. This is particularly important around the time of your period even though that’s when you will most likely crave salt the most.
4. Beans & Legumes:
This is a massive one for me personally. Beans cause a lot of gas in the belly so if you are feeling a bit bloated or know you particularly don’t want that feeling try avoiding them.
5. Water:
The ultimate way to avoid Bloating is to ensure you drink enough water every single day. Sometimes if you’re already bloated the last thing you feel like is drinking more water because you already feel so full but that’s the worst thing you can do. Water will flush the toxins from your body which cause the Bloating and also stop fluid retention caused by dehydration.
Hope these help. Let me know if you have any other ways that help you to reduce the bloat.
Love,
Brittany xx
